Title Tales
The original 'Degrassi' aired in the '80s and now all of 'D:TNG's' episode titles are named after '80s songs, bands and movies. Occasionally, a '90s song will makes it way in there though, as was the case with the episode about identity crisis called 'Wannabe,' after the Spice Girls song.

While 'Degrassi' mostly gets praised in reviews, some critics argue that the show overdramatizes high school scenarios. It has even been compared to popular '90s series 'Beverly Hills, 90210.'
