The Cute Geek
Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) from 'High School Musical' may be crazy smart, but she's almost too shy to come out of her shell and sing with Troy. Could be that there's a big 'Status Quo' issue at the school, though. Still, we know that she's totally going to be 'Breakin' Free' by the end.

The Brightest Witch of Her Age
OK, she's always studying and a little bit of a know-it-all, but that's what makes Hermione (Emma Watson) the best witch there is. Besides, how would Harry Potter be able to look so good without someone backing him up with all the research?

A World of Perfection
In the superficial world of high fashion, image is everything. Styles come and go, and the only constants are the beauties who wear them. How can an ordinary girl possibly fit in? Betty Suarez (America Ferrera) attempts exactly that in the TV hit, 'Ugly Betty.' We love her horrible sense of fashion, thick glasses and braces.

Spidey's a Geek
Ever notice that most superheroes start out as geeks? Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is an outcast, can't get the girl and knows a lot about insects. Only when he is bitten by a spider and turns into 'Spider-Man' does he turn into a muscular hottie with some serious skills. But there is something about geeky Peter Parker that we can't help but love.

"Did I Do That?"
Steve Urkel (Jaleel White) from 'Family Matters' wore large, thick eyeglasses, high-water pants held up by suspenders, and had a high-pitched voice with a snorting laugh. While highly intelligent, he was also quite accident-prone and socially awkward.

Bully Magnet
Despite being considered a nerd, Milhouse from 'The Simpsons' is shown to have just-average intelligence with poor people skills. He is constantly led into trouble by the mischievous Bart, who is not shy about taking advantage of his naive and trusting friend. Milhouse is also one of the few residents in Springfield that has eyebrows.

Vote for Pedro
Although we share his passion for ligers and nunchuck skills, Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder) is a definite dork. Dang! He is a socially clumsy and shy high school student with a passion for drawing and telling implausible stories. Although Napoleon is a nerd, he cares about his friends and is there when they need him.

Genuis + Crime Solver = Dork
Velma Dace Dinkley (Linda Cardellini) is the bespetacled character and resident genius of the 'Scooby-Doo' quartet. She is most often the one to decipher the clues and solve the crimes. She usually is always in orange and has thick, black-rimmed glasses that are tinted blue.

Clueless Geek
Samuel 'Screech' Powers (Dustin Diamond) is the awkward nerd from 'Saved by the Bell.' Screech has been tagging along with Zack Morris since elementary school. In exchange for doing Zack's homework, Screech receives protection from bullies. He's very comfortable with his geekiness and fancies himself a ladies' man.

A Nerd in Bel Air?
Carlton Banks (Alfonso Ribeiro) is Will Smith's preppy cousin in the show 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air.' Despite his geeky persona, he is surprisingly well built, causing comment among Ashley Banks' friends when he appears in swimwear. Carlton screams like a girl when he sees something surprising, like Will kissing a girl.
