Reporting Suspicious Behavior
Whether you just hear rumors or actually see something suspicious yourself, you don't have to be the one to decide how serious to take things. Tell your parents, a teacher or a guidance counselor, and let them make sure everything is OK.

Avoid Reckless Driving
Yeah, we all love to drive fast and feel the wind blowing by. But you know what sucks? Getting killed, or losing an arm or something cause you flip your car. Roller coasters are more fun anyway ... just concentrate on getting to wherever you're going when you're driving. The stupid stunts can wait 'til you're not in the middle of two tons of steel.

Don't Ride With Drunk Drivers
We know this sort of goes without saying, since everyone knows not to drive drunk themselves. But still, if your only ride has been drinking, maybe you're tempted to just chance it. Instead, just chance ANY other way home, and try to get your friend to not drive either. We don't want to tell you how many people die each year from drunk driving. OK, we will. Around 17,000.

Just Say No. Still.
Drugs and alcohol will not only make you do stupid stuff (you really want to ask out that guy or girl when you can't even form a complete sentence?) but they'll also potentially kill you, or permanently damage your body. Considering a lot of drugs and drinks will make you sick long before you even feel good from them, they're really starting to sound kinda dumb, eh?

No Weapons at School
Of course you're not stupid enough to bring weapons to school. Since you're reading this, you're obviously very intelligent and good-looking. But not everyone is reading this. If you do see someone with a weapon at school, report it. The last thing you want is for someone to get hurt when you could have kept things from getting to that point.

Choose Not to Fight
There's never any situation that will be helped by fighting. Whether you're being picked on or you're just upset with someone, the best result from violence will probably be a free school vacation ... when you're suspended. And try to enjoy it with all those bruises and scrapes. Fighting only happens when two people aren't smart enough to handle each other, or to just stay away from each other. You really want to be stupid?

Feeling Depressed?
School can be a really tough time for a lot of people. Everything's changing physically and mentally for you, and everyone else around you. Basically, it's a breeding ground for depression. Remember, though, depression is a real disease that can be treated, and you don't have to keep feeling crappy all the time. It might seem impossible, but the first step to feeling normal again is telling someone, a parent or a teacher. They'll help you get started on your way to actually enjoying things again. Maybe not school, but at least TV!

Dealing With Bullies
The classic advice about bullies is to stand up to them. The problem is, most bullies surround themselves with other bullies, so if you stand up to one, you have to stand up to them all ... and groups have an easier time not backing down. Bullies like getting attention, usually by getting a rise out of you. The best way to keep them away is to not rise to it, no matter how hard that might be. Let your actions speak louder than your words, and laugh off whatever they're doing. They'll soon realize you're not giving them what they want, and they'll leave you alone.
