The Group
Danity Kane was the culmination of two years of Diddy's 'Making the Band' on MTV. Once the mogul of pop hand-picked his dream girl band, the show's third season chronicled the recording of their first album, and saw the girls start to come together as a real group. The band based their name on a superhero that DK member Dawn drew during downtime.

The Feel
Aubrey hails from Palm Springs, CA. After graduating college, she traveled the world and became involved in charitable works, including volunteering as a Big Sister. Later, Aubrey inspired fellow Danity Kane member Shannon to audition for 'Making the Band 3.' Having seen her on TV, Shannon flew down to LA, where she stood in line for seven hours to try out for show's third season.

The Sound
Dawn's New Orleans roots and her family background in the music biz gave her a natural start as a singer and dancer. She studied dance before becoming a cheerleader for the Hornets, and went on to tour with a group called Anjelique. Since becoming part of Danity Kane, the hardest thing for her has been a lack of sleep -- on average, she gets about two hours a night.

The Language
Aundrea grew up singing rancheros from a young age, and was a member of her church's choir by the time she was eight. While she later went on to record and play with pop group Intrigue, she never went for long without her family. During the shooting of 'Making the Band 3,' she went home whenever she could to see them.

The Dream
As a Portland native who, like Dawn, was also a professional cheerleader, Shannon embraces a wide range of music, from Christian contemporary to rock and R&B. As for what ties the Danity Kane girls together, Shannon said, "We all had this dream of being successful in the entertainment field. We've been in the grind since we were born. It's in our blood."
