No Doubt
Gwen Stefani joined No Doubt in 1986, when she was only 17. Her brother played with the ska band at the time, but later left to work on 'The Simpsons.' If you have to leave a ska band, that's pretty much the best reason we could think of ... that, or going solo. But wait, we're not there yet.

Gwen and Tony
Gwen Stefani and No Doubt bass player Tony Kanal went out for eight years in secret, so their relationship wouldn't hurt the band. Then Kanal did something stupid and dumped Gwen. And THAT almost broke the band up. Nice one, Tony.

Gwen and Gavin
Not that it took Gwen Stefani long to bounce back, romantically. Though most of their relationship was kept private, Gavin Rossdale of Bush married Gwen in 2002, and now they're popping out little rockers.

Gwen Does Duets
Almost as if she was toying with going solo from No Doubt, Gwen Stefani joined Eve and Moby for a couple of hugely successful duets. And we all know what the common thread in their success was here.

Gwen Goes Solo
After blowing people's minds with Eve and Moby, Gwen Stefani just had to take it solo. Gwen dropped 'Love. Angel. Music. Baby.' in 2004, her first solo album ... and we're still trying to figure out what a 'Hollaback Girl' is.

Gwen's Harajuku Girls
For the song 'Harajuku Girls', Gwen Stefani hired four girls to dress up in several different styles from the Harajuku district of Tokyo to appear in videos, follow her around and basically do what she did. Weird? Very. But that's Gwen.

Gwen's L.A.M.B.
Fashion LineBased on her first solo album name, Gwen Stefani started a fashion line called L.A.M.B. showcasing clothes she herself already wears. She also put out a line of L.A.M.B. fashion dolls, so anyone who wants their own personal Gwen can buy one.

'The Aviator'
So much for music -- we all know Gwen Stefani is eventually gonna move to movies, just like J'Lo and Madonna. Her biggest role so far was playing Jean Harlow in 'The Aviator' by director Martin Scorsese. We're sure most new actresses start in Scorsese movies.

Gwen's Our 'Idol'
Forget the lackluster group from season six of 'American Idol'. Gwen Stefani made our night when she sang live on one of the results shows. Gwen, we tried to vote for you, but Ryan Seacrest never gave your number!
