America's teen wonder (yeah, we just made that up) is no longer a teen! Hilary Duff turned 20 on September 28, 2007. Her boyfriend, Mike Comrie of the New York Islanders, gave her a gift a little early ... a $100,000 Mercedes. We bet Joel Madden never gave her anything like THAT.

What Dreams Are Made of
Before Hilary was Lizzie McGuire, she was a lot of non-descript bit roles on several TV series, like 'Chicago Hope.' Her starring role as Ms. McGuire started in 2001, and lasted for four years. 'Lizzie' was her breakout series that set up her destiny. If only the innocence could have lasted.

Hide Away
Even if she might've been hiding a bad hair day, we know Hilary Duff was just getting warmed up. She dropped her first full-length album in 2002, and went on to make another one almost every year since -- not including re-releases or UK editions. The girl was about to 'rock this world.'

Did anyone see this matchup coming? In June 2005, Hilary announced that she was dating Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. Duff's demure white turtleneck up against Joel's post-punk ensemble may say it all about their compatibility. Here, his eyes say 'keep your hands off my girl' -- although that was before she changed her tune.

In the summer of 2006, Hilary officially introduced the world to another Duff: her sister Haylie. As if one was not enough, we got two talented ladies took the wheel of their own movie vehicle, 'Material Girls,' which was their biggest effort together so far. Some people said that Haylie's actually the better actress ... but keep it quiet!

It's just not as much fun to have restraining orders when you're not in a couple. Soon after the breakup, Hilary dropped two of them against stalkers. Even worse, Nicole Richie quickly swooped in on Joel. Considering how fast that happened, we'll forgive Hil for a few bad comments directed Nicole's way (at least according to 'US Weekly').
