McHottie
Patrick Dempsey -- aka McDreamy to certain female doctors -- is putting the 'Mc' back in 'Hot.' Dempsey reportedly was a talented skier and accomplished juggler in his younger years. So, like other actors of his time (ahem, Colin Farrell), this St. Patty's Day, we're thankful that he found his way to acting ... Oh wait, that's Thanksgiving ... still, we're stoked.

Gorgeous Export
He won't appear in any school textbooks or official Trade Commission listings, but Colin Farrell may be one of Ireland's most valuable exports to the United States. As a teenager in Dublin, Colin was planning on being a famous footballer like his dad. Lucky for us, he traded fields for film. Director Joel Schumacher gave him his first big U.S. role, and our lives have been better ever since.

Irish Hood
The best part about St. Patrick's Day is its inclusiveness. You don't have to be Colin Farrell to be considered Irish (although that never hurts). JoJo grew up on the outskirts of Boston, and you know what that means: she's part Irish. And that's more than enough for us to want to smooch her face ... especially before she gets so famous that she forgets all about us and St. Patty's Day.

Fallen Gem
Oh, Lindsay. You were so adorable as a red-headed, freckly-faced kid in 'The Parent Trap.' We're wondering what happened to that innocent little girl who we might've wanted to kiss, or at least pat on the back ... before she went downhill fast. This St. Patty's Day, we'll look to you as a cautionary tale. That's almost like kissing, isn't it?

TV Ancestry
John Tucker may not be 100 percent Irish, but he plays someone who's Irish on TV. This rising star got his start in the Boston Ballet, which qualifies him as graceful, athletic and not afraid to wear leotards. Tucker just landed his biggest part to date on NBC's 'The Black Donnellys,' so we're glad it's St. Pat's Day while he's still on the cusp of uber-stardom, and available for a holiday smooch.

The Irish Tomato?
While Ireland is not known for its imposing, snowy mountains, Shaun White's snowboarding skills would make you wonder. This American phenom -- aka 'The Flying Tomato' -- is doing his ancestry proud, and winning not only gold medals right and left, but a few hearts along the way. Since winter's almost over, we're waiting for him to put the board down and notice us.

Irish R&B
We know. Who would've thought that one of the divas of R&B would also be part Irish? But Mariah Carey, who's had one of the most fabled rollercoaster rides in the biz, was born on Long Island to parents who were a mix of Venezuelan, African-American ... and Irish. This rare blend made her a target of racial discrimination growing up, but she clearly overcame those hurdles to sing her way to fame.

Blood Brothers
The Wilsons, apart from being cute in a so-quirky-we-don't-care-what-holiday-it-is type of way, grew up in Dallas, Texas in an Irish-American family. Along the way to stardom, Owen was expelled from high school while Luke held track team records there. Somehow, the two still managed to find their way to acting, thanks largely to their friendship with director Wes Anderson. These brothers may each have star GFs, but we know they'd make an exception for a holiday.

The Life of Luck
Lucky the Leprechaun might not be real, but we've been eating his cereal for years. Who else could combine a sugary breakfast with the promise of good luck at the bottom of every bowl? We've never found a pot of gold in our cereal, but one day, we know we will. We're sure of it.
