'Never Again'?
Kelly Clarkson finally has a new single out! (Listen to 'Never Again.') That means the full album can't be too far behind. But what to do while we're waiting? Why not take a look back at Kelly from the adorable beginning to her rock-star present? Oh yeah, we could do that all day.

'American Idol'
Awww, look at all the little 'American Idols.' Aren't they cute? It's fun to look back at all the wannabes who will never, ever make it. The thing we love about Kelly Clarkson here (she's next to Justin Guarini there on the right ... sorry, we didn't want to bring him up) is how normal she looks. And that's why we love her. No diva 'tude, just all-American rocker.

Kelly Wins!
Yeah, we voted about half a million times ourselves, but that's OK. Kelly Clarkson managed to destroy Justin Guarini in the competition and became our 'American Idol.' Later, she went on to get second place in the worldwide 'Idol,' but that's only because we were sick that day.

Kelly's 'Thankful'
Kelly Clarkson might never have imagined she'd have 'A Moment Like This' when she won 'Idol' (we're legally obligated to make that joke), but afterwards at least she had the manners to be 'Thankful.' Her first album broke records, but even we had no idea how good she could get.

From Kelly to 'Miss Independent'
Trying to capitalize on their popularity from 'Idol,' someone brilliant decided to green-light 'From Justin to Kelly,' what could be the worst movie ever made. Still, we swallowed that mostly because we got 'Miss Independent' soon after, the song that really broadcast who Kelly Clarkson was as an artist ... and who she wasn't going to answer to anymore.

'Breakaway'
Hitting the radio and 'Princess Diaries 2' before the album of the same name arrived, 'Breakaway' proved that Kelly Clarkson could rock softly, too. We're not sure that means anything, but that's because our brains are fried from listening to 'Breakaway' literally a hundred times in the past four hours.

'Behind These
Hazel Eyes'And then there came the wedding dress video. 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' made grown men weep like little girls, it was so good. It also made big alternative rockers admit that they fell in love with an 'American Idol.' We love being proved right.

'My December'
Now that we've seen the first single, Kelly Clarkson's third album, 'My December,' should be following shortly. Those of us who went to her concerts in 2006, though, got a taste of three other singles: 'Maybe,' 'Anymore,' and 'Yeah.'

Our 'Idol'
Kelly Clarkson's come a long way from a girl working in a movie theater in Texas. Now a major star in music and *cough* movies (at least she was in one), our little girl's grown up into the biggest thing 'American Idol' has ever produced.

Down to Earth
The thing we love most about Kelly Clarkson, though, is that no matter how famous she gets, she still seems like the girl next door. Check her out during her AOL Sessions, and you'll see what we mean.
