A Dream is Born
More than ten years ago, choreographer Robin Antin created PCD as a performing troupe in LA. The group took the stage in local rock venues like the Viper Room, where the girls donned skimpy outfits in the burlesque tradition and performed updated routines.

Celeb Cult
As the Dolls started to get some buzz around town, the group soon became a cult fave for celebs like Carmen Electra (pictured), Xtina, Brit and Gwen Stefani, who made guest appearances with the troupe. Performing with PCD was like an H'wood diva's status symbol ... minus the Benz.

Angels in America
PCD are a group of sassy ladies with bad-ass dance moves. Charlie's Angels are a trio of crime-fighters with bad-ass karate kicks. Together, they were a perfect movie match. In '03, PCD landed a cameo in 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.' We're waiting to see if Cam drops her surfing for a dancing gig.

Bustin' Out
If new girl group + established rapper = insta-hit, PCD knew what they were doing two years later. In '05, they dropped their debut single, 'Don't Cha,' featuring Busta Rhymes. In the song, the girls make sure everyone knows that they're hotter than every GF on the planet, leaving us uneasily tapping our feet but turning it way down when our BFs are nearby.

Come to a Solo Album?
In '06, Nicole Scherzinger (aka 'Queen Doll' to her bandmates) was the first Doll to make a move towards a solo career. Taking a page out of her own book, she scored a duet with Diddy in 'Come to Me' on his '06 album, Press Play. Were the other Dolls just a tad jealous? Let's just say that if it were us, we're not so sure we'd come anywhere near Didds or Nicole.

'Inappropriate'
Around the same time that Nicole was dancing close with Diddy, the Dolls scored a deal to become every kid's dream: a toy Doll. But just a month after euphoria spread through the eight-and-under set of aspiring PCDs, Hasbro pulled the deal under pressure, saying that the toys would be 'inappropriate.' Like young girls don't need more sex symbols to look up to.

Laguna Love
The next step to working through the Hollywood ranks is dating someone who's more famous than you. But when Nicole was spotted by TMZ.com hanging out with Talan from 'Laguna Beach' around the '06 holidays, we weren't sure who was using whom... and how a little surfer kid could score a star performer at least eight years his senior.

We Heart Tim
Also in late '06, PCD dropped an ensemble song with another hip-hop icon, and cemented their spot on the music landscape as sexy and street. In 'Wait A Minute,' Timbaland leads the way on a catchy song whose video takes place in NYC. We recently saw what a colabo with Timba can do for other stars (cough, Nelly Furtado), so we know PCD's only getting better.

Reality Rocks
Finally, the sirens of song and dance landed in the pantheon of modern day Hollywood greatness with their very own reality show. And we all know how great reality shows are for personal success. Just look at Jason Wahler...
