The CW
Supergirl!
Yes, yes, Tom Welling's hot, fine. But there's finally some eye candy on 'Smallville' for the guys (Lois and Lana are just so three years ago). Laura Vandervoort, the girl with a last name as ugly as she is hot, will be playing Supergirl, Clark's cousin. What we wouldn't give to be a criminal she beat up ...

Tobey Maguire as
Spider-ManThe 'Spider-Man' movies hold about a thousand records for box office this or that, but the best thing about them is how well Tobey Maguire channels Peter Parker. What other actor could play a dork so well, and THEN handle the action scenes? Wait ... is that a stunt double? We can't tell with the stupid mask on!

Warner Brothers
Christian Bale as Batman
After the fiasco that was the last few 'Batman' movies, Christian Bale proved that playing Batman didn't have to be all about making bad puns and fighting Arnold Schwarzenegger in a horrible costume. The new and improved 'Batman Begins' brings us back into the dark, and loses all the stupid camp that the movies got bogged down in. THANK you, Mr. Bale.

The Fantastic Four
You know you've got a great superhero team when one of them is on fire, and it's NOT Jessica Alba. With 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer' a huge hit and a third movie on the way, the Fantastic Four might just be the hottest superhero team since before X3 sucked all over the place. And does anyone doubt that there's going to be at least four movies? We mean, c'mon.

Warner Bros.
Brandon Routh as Superman
Though he looks a little too much like a model for 'Superman,' we were pretty impressed with Brandon Routh in 'Superman Returns.' Other than the whole Superman's baby storyline. Oh, and Lois getting married. And the lame Lex Luthor world-ending evilness. And we didn't really need the whole shot-in-the-eye thing. But other than THAT ...
-
20th Century Fox
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
Who'd have thought that an unknown actor from Australia would turn into our favorite superhero ever? Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is the toughest of all the X-Men, but he's still got a soft heart when it comes to the ladies ... just like us, really. That must be why we relate to him so much.
-
James White, the WB
Tom Welling as Clark Kent
Though the producers have said we'll never see a cape and Superman costume in 'Smallville,' we still think Tom Welling gets pretty heroic. He's flying around now, has joined the Justice League and is about two seconds away from becoming the world's most famous superhero. Why he doesn't play Superman in the movies we'll never know.
-
Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider
Sure, he's a skeleton who's on fire riding a motorcycle with flaming wheels, but what's not to love? Well, maybe the fact that Nicolas Cage is Ghost Rider, a stuntman who makes a deal with the devil ... those never end well. Still, we're all about firey motorcycles driving up buildings, so keep at it, Nic.

Buena Vista
Mr. Incredible
OK, yes, Mr. Incredible is a cartoon, but considering that 'The Incredibles' is still one of the best superhero (and James Bond) movies in the last few years, it puts him firmly on our list. Plus, we can't get enough of that scene where he doesn't fit in the costume. Good times.
-
20th Century Fox
Ben Affleck as Daredevil
The movie kinda tanked, but what movie hasn't done badly when Ben Affleck was the star? We're kidding, Ben ... we love you. Well, we kinda like you, sorta, in a brotherly way, at least. But Daredevil as a character is pretty awesome, Affleck or not ... a blind superhero who's also a lawyer? SWEET.

Doane Gregory, 20th Century Fox
Jennifer Garner as Elektra
Just like in real life, Jennifer Garner's 'Elektra' is the girlfriend of Ben Affleck's Daredevil. And just like in Daredevil, Elektra as a movie stunk so bad we had to wash our clothes after seeing it. Seriously, really, really horrible ... but Jennifer Garner looked hot. So there's that.

Universal
The Hulk
Eric Bana played 'The Hulk' in the last version, but considering that the movie did horribly, the new version is going to go in a different direction ... what we like to call a "good" direction.

Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man
Robert Downey Jr. is going to play an alcoholic rich boy? Wait, we are talking about a movie, right? At one point, Tom Cruise wanted to play 'Iron Man,' but if you're going to put someone in a suit of armor with weapons on it, let's stay away from the kind of actor who jumps on couches, OK?
-
Justin Hartley
as Green ArrowNot only did Justin Hartley star as Green Arrow in 'Smallville,' and not only did he help start the Justice League on that show, but he also played 'Aquaman' in an actually pretty-decent pilot that the WB passed on. Justin in a bathing suit swimming around a lot? Yeah, that would have been a huge failure.
