There's nothing like two Hollywood stars coming together to quash rumors of homosexuality and brainwashing to have the wedding of the century -- after the bride is pregnant with the groom's little Scientologist. Oh, and then there was that whole couch jumping thing. Bizarre? Uh, do human beings come from aliens who live in a volcano? Let's take a look back at the happy couple, TomKat (*cringe*), and see if we can pinpoint the brainwashing.

Believe it or not, Katie Holmes was engaged before she met Tom. She dated Chris Klein for five years and then they became engaged. They ended their engagement in March 2005 and by May she and Tom were dating. Ouch. Chris didn't take the breakup so well and is now seen all over Hollywood dating Katie look-a-likes. Ironically, that's still less creepy than Katie's new relationship.

Tom has dated and married quite a few women, all of whom are pretty different. He dated Rebecca de Mornay who co-starred with him in 'Risky Business' back in 1983. She played an ambitious call girl named Lana in the movie. She and Tom ended up living together for two and a half years and then broke things off. Let's hope that's how long he and Katie last.

Mimi Rogers was the one who introduced Tom to Scientology, which he embraced in 1990. They were married for only three years, during that time they served on the board of the environmentally concerned Earth Communications Office. While we're all for ecology, the ECO almost sounds like it's trying to pass notes to aliens.

We were so sad when Tom and Nicole Kidman split after ten years of marriage. They were one of the most well-known and popular celebrity couples, and the news was shocking ... well, it was to those who didn't believe Tom was gay, at least. Nicole had a way of humbling Tom and making him a more sophisticated man, which actually made him likable to us. No divorce could stop her, though ... she's moved on with a very successful career and many handsome men have lined up to date her.

Penelope must have been the one to end the relationship, because just look at her. How could HE ever dump HER? Our point exactly. Apparently the two still remain friends, but you know how that goes. Lesson here? Never date someone with the same last name. Creepy.

'Top Gun' Crush
You might find it strange that Tom has dated so many more people than Katie, but just remember that he is 16 years older than she is. 16! He was driving when she was born. The way they met is still unclear, but apparently their agents arranged it in May 2005. So romantic. Anyway, Katie said she was totally in love with Tom in 'Top Gun.' Negative, Ghost Rider, the bathroom is full ... of us puking.

Baby Suri
It didn't take long before they were jumping on couches, screaming on national television and PDAing all over the red carpet in order to show their love for one another. At least, Tom did all that ... Katie just seemed to wander around with a blank, glazed look. Then a tiny bundle of joy named Suri came along before the wedding bells could ring. That didn't sit well with Katie's parents and even today they don't like Tom. Not hard to understand why.

Happily Married?
Once baby Suri and Mom were back to full strength, Tom made an honest woman out of Katie and they got married. The wedding was super-secret and was held in a castle in Italy. It doesn't get much more romantic than that ... assuming Katie had a choice in the matter. On the surface the couple appears to be flawless, but rumors swirl about Katie's disapproving parents and trouble in paradise.
