Zac in His Own Words
As excited as we are for 'High School Musical 2,' we couldn't resist listening to Zac talk about that, what it's like to be so smoking hot and whether he's going to put out his own CD. We're going to say ... stick to acting, buddy. We love you plenty already.

Zac Efron
You might think Zac Efron appeared out of nowhere in 'High School Musical,' like some kind of cute, bubbly hunk of awesomeness. But that's not entirely true ... Zac's been working his Efron off in TV and movies, and now that he's hit it big, there's nowhere to go but ... well, more 'High School Musical.'

Troy and Gabriella
After a bunch of guest-starring roles (including one on 'Summerland' that turned into a full-time part until the show was cancelled), Zac Efron hit it big when he was chosen to play the part of Troy Bolton, East High School's Romeo to Vanessa Hudgens's Juliet, Gabriella. At the time, 'High School Musical' was just another Disney Channel original movie, not the world-conquering craziness we all know it to be now.

Wildcats Everywhere
The success of the first 'High School Musical' (and its DVDs, CDs, posters, pajamas, toothbrushes, etc.) meant that there'd be sequels. Still, we never expected a third movie before the second even aired. 'Haunted High School Musical' will keep the same cast, as will 'High School Musical 2,' the beach years. Zac Efron in a bathing suit? How many DVDs can we buy at once?

Zac's Singing
There was even a 'High School Musical' national tour, but Zac Efron bowed out despite the rest of the cast signing up. Why? Well, it turns out that the part of Troy needed a slightly higher pitch than Zac could handle, so Drew Seeley sang most of Troy's parts in the movie (and took over Troy for the tour.) Zac can still sing ... just in a manly, Barry-White kinda voice. We're guessing.

Beyond 'High
School Musical'While fellow stars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgen are both making huge waves with their music, Zac Efron has been getting big parts in movies. As much as we love their music, we like that Zac's sticking with his first love, and not throwing out a CD or two. OK, we'd buy them, but still.

Zac's New Roles
Another musical, 'Hairspray,' took Zac Efron in for the part of Link Larkin. This time, Zac's singing all his own parts, though he had to dye his hair brown and gain 15 pounds. We just call that more of Zac to love.

'High School Musical' Never Ends
You might have seen Zac Efron in Vanessa Hudgen's 'Say OK' video, where he plays her love interest. He also got 'Punk'd' by Ashton Kutcher with the help of Ashley Tisdale. Glad to see they're all still talking after 'High School.'

Not Just Good Looks ... But Those Help
Yes, we love him as an actor (so do the Teen Choice Awards, since he won two), but above all, we just can't stop looking at Zac Efron. That's why we'll watch him in anything from the two 'High School Musical' sequels to 'NCIS' to 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody' to 'Zac Efron, Detective of Cute.' That last one is a show we're pitching to Disney. Cross your fingers.

No Product Needed
Zac Efron will be starring soon in 'Hairspray' with such huge stars as John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer and Amanda Bynes (huge is relative at times). But we just know that Zac's going to steal the show, just like he does in everything. Still, we'll always be able to say we knew him when he was unknown and 15 pounds lighter.

Zac Gets 'Loose!'
Zac Efron has just been announced to take on Kevin Bacon's famous role in the remake of popular movie 'Footloose.' With his dancing, singing and acting skills, Zac is fast becoming Hollywood's favorite triple threat young star. Glad to know they are finally realizing what we've been shouting about!
