The monster movies that kick off the biggest popcorn-and-plush-seats season are all coming out in May. So what do the accompanying video games look like? And will they become the blockbusters that the films are positioned to be?
We preview the curse and lifeblood of the game industry -- movie tie-ins -- in this installment of asap's weekly video feature on gaming.
First, "Spider-Man 3: The Game" (Rated T, various platforms and prices) is out May 4, the same day as the movie, and builds on successful previous open-ended "Spider-Man" titles.
"Shrek The Third: The Game" (Rated E-10 plus, various platforms and prices) is out May 15, three days before the movie featuring the voices of Mike Meyers and such.
And finally, "Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End" (E-10 plus to T, various platforms and prices) will be out May 22, three days before Johnny Depp again hauls out his Keith Richards impression.
