Step 1: Love 'Em
Taking a washcloth or loofa and gently remove dead skin cells by washing in a circular motion. You'll need soap, shaving gel or cream and a good lotion. You should shave your legs at the end of your shower -- the hot water will make your skin softer, which will make the razor glide easier over your skin.

Step 2: Lather Up
Once your skin has been softened by the shower, it's ready for a shaving gel or cream. There are tons of good gels and creams on the market. All you need is a small dollop of product. Rub it in your hands to turn it into a rich lather, then rub it all over your legs (or even your underarms).

Step 3: Raise Your Razor
Prop your leg up on something to make it easier to shave. Also, keep it out of the stream of water, otherwise your gel/cream will wash off. The shaving gel/cream will minimize your chances for nicks. Shave in even motions, by pulling the razor up your leg from your foot towards your body.

Step 4: Add Softness
Once you've finished shaving, you'll need to add lotion. Lotion, obviously will soften skin, but did you know it can help you shave less, too? Products like Jergens Naturally Smooth Shave Minimizing Moisturizer, are meant to make hairs grow slower and therefore, will have you shaving less often.
